How can I apply for a scholarship?
Scholarships in the CCAC program are available at George Brown College and Seneca Polytechnic for students who are currently enrolled or have been accepted into a program leading to their first diploma or degree. To apply, download the application form from this page and follow the instructions provided.
How can I apply for a bursary?
Bursaries are available to eligible students pursuing their first diploma or degree at a recognized trade school, college, or university in Ontario. Visit this page to download the bursary application form and follow the instructions to complete your submission. Please review the Eligibility section for full details on requirements.
How will I know that my application has been received?
CCAC will acknowledge receipt of all applications by email, no later than one week after the application deadline. The email will come from admin@caribbeancouncilcanada.org.
How are bursary and scholarship recipients selected?
Applications are evaluated based on: Academic Record; Essay submission; Extracurricular activities and/or community involvement.
Applicants are encouraged to review the Purpose, Number and Value of Awards, and Eligibility sections of the program outline for more details
When will successful applicants be notified?
Successful applicants will be notified by the end of August 2025. Please note that the CCAC is not obligated to award all available bursaries or scholarships.
When will recipients receive their awards?
There are two categories of awards:

Bursaries – Up to $3,000, disbursed in annual installments of $1,000, depending on the remaining duration of the recipient’s program. Payments are made directly to the school toward tuition.

Scholarships (George Brown College and Seneca Polytechnic) – One full tuition scholarship valued at up to $6,000 per year, renewable for up to four years, depending on the length of the recipient’s program. A credit of the value of the amount for the program and the duration thereof will be applied to the successful student’s account with George Brown College and Seneca Polytechnic.
The cheques made payable to the institutions that the successful bursary applicants will be and/or attending, and the credit certificates for the successful scholarship applicants will be presented to the applicants at an event organized by the Council of Caribbean Associations - Canada.
